Payroll Processing

Can I process payroll for only a few selected employees?

Yes, you can process payroll for all or a few selected employees. Please note that there is a minimum charge of S$25 (before GST) if you have less than 5 employees.

How many times can I process the monthly payroll?

There is no limit to the number of payroll processes you can do in a month as long as the month is not “Closed”. When you reprocess the payroll, the latest payroll figures will be shown in the reports and payslips.

Do I use PayPal to send salaries to my employees?

No, PayPal is used to pay the monthly payroll processing fees. It cannot be used for salary disbursements. Salary disbursements can be made through Interbank GIRO / Internet Banking, cheques or cash.

Do I receive a copy of the invoice after I make credit card payment?

Yes, you will receive a copy of the invoice via your registered email in PDF format.

Can PayDay! generate GIRO file for uploading to my Internet banking portal?

Yes, PayDay! allows you to generate GIRO file for all the local major banks in Singapore (i.e. DBS, UOB, OCBC). Other banks will be added gradually. Can PayDay! create CPF e-submission or PATLINE submission files?

Yes, please click on Reports icon and download “CPF File” after you have processed your monthly payroll.

How long does it take to process the monthly payroll on PayDay!?

If there are no or minimal changes in your monthly payroll, the time taken to process the monthly payroll will take a few minutes. Also, you can download the reports right after you confirm your payroll processing.

Can PayDay! automatically prorate bonus for employee who works for less than a year?

Yes, you can enable or disable the system to automatically calculate the prorated amount.

How many bonus or ad-hoc payments can I make in one year?

There is no limit to the number of bonus or ad-hoc payments you can make in one year.

Why are CPF amounts not shown before payroll processing confirmation?

You are unable to see the CPF amounts for each employee before payroll processing confirmation. CPF amounts will only be calculated and reflected in the reports after confirmation of the monthly payroll processing and payment made via PayPal or credit cards.

What employers must do for employees by 1st Mar yearly with regards to tax filing?

As an employer, you must prepare Form IR8A and Appendix 8A, Appendix 8B or Form IR8S (where applicable) for all your employees (who are employed in Singapore) by 1st Mar each year.

What is One-Time Password (OTP)?

One Time Password (OTP) is a security feature when you login to PayDay! SaaS. You will need to have a valid email address registered with PayDay! SaaS and the password will be sent via email.

How does One-Time Password (OTP) authorisation benefit me?

Internet comes with its inherent risks; OTP serves as an enhanced security feature that uses a One Time Password authorisation.

How do I update my email address to receive One-Time Password (OTP)?

How fast will I be able to receive the One-Time Password (OTP)?

You should receive the OTP within few minutes to your registered email address.

What should I do if I did not receive the One-Time Password (OTP) after few minutes?

If you did not receive the OTP, please check your spam box. You may also click on Resend OTP for a new OTP.

Is the service chargeable?

No, this service is currently offered free of charge.

Can I use the service overseas?

Yes, OTP is sent using email. As long as you are connected to the internet and have access to your mailbox, you will be able to receive the OTP.

What is a General Ledger (GL) Journal Entry Report?

The General Ledger (GL) Report provides the account debit and credit journal entries relating to the payroll transactions for the month.
