Who are PayDay!’s users?

Most of our PayDay! users are businesses from various industries with an average of less than 50 employees. They have monthly payroll policies and thus do not require complex payroll software to process their monthly payroll. How can I register for a PayDay! account?

Anyone can register for a PayDay! account for the purpose of their business entity’s use . There is presently no registration or activation fee. As PayDay! is designed based on Singapore’s employment laws, only Singapore organizations may find all the features useful. A valid email address and other basic organization information is required upon registration and activation.

I want to evaluate PayDay! Is there a trial account that I can register and use?

There is no need for any trial account, because anyone can register for a PayDay! account and start using it without any charges. The usage fees will be levied only upon payroll processing, and we are sure you don’t want to do that when you are evaluating PayDay!. In the event that you do not want to proceed with the use of PayDay!, your inactive accounts will be removed if not used within the last six months, and all data will be destroyed.

When I register, I need to specify a Login ID. What is Login ID?

A Login ID is a short textual name that you will give for your organization. Login ID will be used with your password to help you to easily log into PayDay! securely. Login ID can be a combination of alphabets and numbers. For the sake of simplicity and ease of use, we propose that you should use an acronym or a short word that is familiar to you or represents your organization.

I tried to enter my Login ID during registration, but it says that it is not available. Why?

It is either that you have previously registered a PayDay! account with the same Login ID, or another organization has successfully registered and used the same Login ID. If you are sure that you have not registered before, please think of an alternative Login ID that is familiar to you and try again. I have a group companies. Can I register for only one account? How should I do this?

As each company in your group is a legal entity on its own, has its own employees and pays salary to its own employees, you will need to register an account for EACH of the companies in the group. Each company will then need to have a different or unique login ID, for example, “ABC1”, “ABC2” and “ABC3”.

What is account activation?

After registering for a PayDay! account, we require that you “activate” it before using it. “Activation” is another word for “switch on”, and we would like to be really sure that you are using a valid email for this purpose. Activation is relatively simple as following a simple instruction in an email of the same subject made to you. How long does it take to activate my account?

PayDay! account activation is instantaneous. To activate, just follow the email instructions, and choose to either click the link or enter the activation code on our website. I did not receive the account activation email. What happened? What should I do?

There is a possibility that your email may be stopped by your email server or land in the SPAM folder. There are many other reasons why emails do not get delivered as mail and security servers try to “act smart” and remove any emails they deemed incorrectly as “out of ordinary”. If you suspect that you do not receive any email, please try the following: Check your email program’s SPAM box and see if it is there Check with your email server administrator to see if the email is “trapped” or filtered at the server side. Does PayDay! come with any mobile application?

Yes, there is a PayDay! mobile application which you can download for your iPhone or Android phones. This mobile application allows employees to view their payslips on the go. For payroll processing, PayDay! should be accessed from a web browser on a computer or notebook instead.

I pay my employees twice a month. Can PayDay! handle this?

The present version of PayDay! handles monthly payroll and does not cater for multi-period payroll processing.

For which industries are PayDay! catered for?

PayDay! caters for any industries as long as the business has once-a-month payroll cycles.

I have just registered for PayDay! in mid-year, do I “redo” my payroll from January?

You may decide whether to recalculate the preceding month’s payroll, especially if you will like to have a complete year’s payroll computed and captured in the system. Alternatively, you may choose to use PayDay! for any month of the year; any preceding months’ salary and CPF contributions can be manually entered.

Do I need to install any software to use PayDay!?

PayDay! is a cloud-based system, you do not need to install any software to use it. Using the latest version of a web browser from your notebook computer or tablet computing devices, you can use PayDay! confidently. Your computer may need to install Adobe Reader to view the payroll reports.

Which Internet browser programs support PayDay!?

PayDay! supports all the major Internet browsers of today, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari. When in doubt, download and install the latest versions of these browsers.

What are PayDay!’s system requirements?

A web browser program is required to run PayDay!. These are the web browser programs that are supported: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.

What am I supposed to do when my computer crash? Will I lose my data?

Your data will be safe even in the unfortunate event that your computer crashes. PayDay! is a cloud-based system, your data is stored in our secure data centers so you can access anytime and anywhere via any Internet-enabled devices.

Can I try PayDay! before I confirm payment?

Yes, everyone can register to try out PayDay! for free up to and before the point of payroll processing.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, no payment is required upon registration and account activation. The system is free to be used up to and before the point of payroll processing.

How much does it cost to use PayDay!?

A basic fee of S$5 per employee per process will cover all necessary features to process payroll. The total fee is based on the number of employees processed for each cycle. Please note that there is a minimum charge of S$25 (before GST) if you have less than 5 employees.

How do I pay?

We accept credit cards or payment via a PayPal account.

Is there a minimum subscription period?

No, there is no minimum subscription period or contractual obligation. PayDay! charges strictly based on the pay-as-you-use model. Fees are only charged upon payroll processing based on the actual number of headcount processed. Please note that there is a minimum charge of S$25 (before GST) if you have less than 5 employees.

Which smartphones models are supported by PayDay!?

Presently, the PayDay! mobile apps are available for iOS and Android smartphones. The PayDay! mobile apps are free to download on Apple App Store and Google Play.

Can I view other employee’s payslip via the PayDay! mobile app?

No, you can only view your own payslip on PayDay! mobile app.

Is the fee for PayDay! eligible for PIC (Productivity and Innovation Credit) tax deduction?

Yes, your company or business may claim the PIC (Productivity and Innovation Credit) Enhanced Deduction for the fees paid for using PayDay! as a cloud computing system for computing and processing payroll. If your company is eligible, the PIC scheme allows up to a 60% deduction of the total PayDay! fees paid against the business' profits, subject to the qualifying criteria as set by IRAS. Can I use PayDay! to process payroll for my part time workers?

Yes, PayDay! can process payroll for your part time workers who are paid monthly.
